Of Interest to Writers

CANSCAIP: The Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators, and Performers is a group of professionals in the field of children's culture which is instrumental in the support and promotion of children's literature through newsletters, workshops, meetings and other information programs.

SCBWI:The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators provides services and networking for those "who share a vital interest in children's literature."

The Word Guild : "an association of Canadian writers and editors who are Christian, and who are committed to encouraging one another and fostering standards of excellence in the art, craft, business and ministry of writing." They usually have a writers' conference in Guelph, Ontario, in June. I have been to three and they're very inspirational and informative.

Inscribe Christian Writers' Fellowship: The stated purpose of this organization is "to stimulate, encourage and support Christians across Canada who write, to advance effective Christian writing, and to promote the availability and influence of all Christians who write."
